Thrilling 2009 Dixie Classic Fair Comes to a Close

Successful Year Marked with Higher Attendance, Record-Breaking Exhibit Entries and Lots of Fun for the Whole Family

As another Fair year winds down, the Dixie Classic Fair has much to celebrate. The second largest agricultural Fair in North Carolina, owned and operated by the City of Winston-Salem, N.C., broke last year’s attendance number of 310,160 with a total of approximately 323,000 which proved that even with a little bit of rain, the community still wants to Taste the Thrill at the Fair.

Competitive entries were also up this year from approximately 25,852 entries in 2008 to 31,428 entries in 2009. Click here to review lists of 2009 winners.

The Dixie Classic Fair thanks everyone who came to Taste the Thrill! Special thanks also go out to all of the concessionaires, vendors, entertainers, ride operators, staff and crew who made this year the best yet!
